Session Advisory Groups

Session Advisory Groups (SAGs) play a key role in shaping and guiding the technical content of the main conference sessions. They have the following main responsibilities:

Guidance on Content

SAGs advise on the development of the technical program for each of the conference’s sessions. They help identify the most relevant and current topics within the scope of each session, ensuring that the conference remains focused on critical issues and emerging trends in electricity distribution.

Paper Review

Members of the SAGs are involved in reviewing submitted papers, assessing their technical quality, relevance, and innovation. They recommend which papers should be included in the conference program, thus maintaining high standards of content for CIRED.

Session Structure

Beyond content selection, the SAGs help shape how the sessions are organized during the conference. This can include suggestions on presentation formats (e.g., oral presentations, poster sessions, panels) and the organization of discussion sessions to encourage meaningful interactions among participants.

Expert Insights

The members of the SAGs are usually subject matter experts with deep knowledge of specific areas. They bring their expertise to help ensure that the conference sessions reflect the latest advancements, technical challenges, and strategic directions in the industry.
Moreover, they help sessions in identifying relevant topics for the upcoming Workshops and future Working Groups.
